grizedale08-frontA beautiful day up in the Lake District saw Mark Higgins & Nicky Grist take the ex-Carlos Sainz Subaru Impreza 555 to an excellent victory.

In a flawless display they entertained the crowds whilst it was the Mitsubishi Evo’s of Dave Wright, Simon Hughes and Tim Pearcey who took the next 3 places.

With Mike O’Brien fifth, in a more recent model of Focus WRC then he has used previously this season.

Further back Adrian Hetherington was going well in his Escort MkII until he sepctacularly rolled out on the final stage, heading towards our position. This left local young gun Kris Hall to take two wheel drive honours in his Fiesta ST. Read More »

rac2008_frontQuite simply the rally of the year! This year we got out on the full event and the atmosphere was as good as ever.

Malcolm Wilson took victory in one of the most angry sounding MkII’s we have ever heard, with David Stokes a fine second. The battles throughout the event had been fantastic with McCormack starring again.

tempost08_frontA tale of two rallies which saw David Harris take victory on the Tempest 2, after an event long battle with a number of crews, whilst in the Tempest 4 Marcus Dodd took a comfortable victory.

Three time previous winner Will Nicholls had been pushing, snatching the lead, before his engine let go.

cambrian_08_frontWhat a conclusion to the BTRDA Gold Star championship! Hugh Hunter had to win on his home event, which he duly did.

When Damian Cole retired from the rally, Will Nicholls just needed to hold on to second place, but mechanical gremlins hit on the final two stages dropping him to tenth. Hunter duly took the title, well done!
