harryflatters14 (62)The first of two summer events on the Epynt military ranges saw a frustrating day for the top two crews as they beat the bogey time on 7 of the 13 stages, so it was all decided on the 6 shorter stages. Damian Cole & Jack Morton (Focus WRC) ultimately won by 2 seconds and in no small part this all came down to the 4 seconds they took out of Mark Straker & Neil Harrison (Darrian T90 GTR) on the opening stage. Straker made up 3 seconds on stages 4 & 5 before dropping a second on the 8th stage and after that both he and Cole were deadlocked as they matched each other to the second or took the bogey times. Completing the podium, after a late call to start in place of Mark Worley, were Melvyn Evans & David Gamblin (Fiesta R5+) who were on the limiter for so much on the stages. Read More »

nickygrist14 (12)A return to UK rallying for us after 6 weeks away and we witnessed a superb battle between Paul Bird & Aled Davies (Focus WRC) and Dave Weston jnr & Kirsty Riddick (Impreza WRC). Steve Perez & Paul Spooner (Focus WRC) and Weston were joint fastest through stage 1 before Weston took the lead on stage 2 despite Bird going fastest. Weston took stage 3 before Perez & Bird tied on stage 4 leaving Weston ahead by 5 seconds from Bird and a further 6 to Perez. Bird & Perez tied once more on stage 5 before a fastest time for Bird on stage 6 saw him take the lead by two seconds ahead of Weston. Weston took stage 7 by a single second before Bird sealed the win with fastest time on the final stage by 3 seconds. Perez ended up 3rd a further 16 seconds behind Weston. Read More »

southern10014 (2)To complete a varied few events for us at 90right, we went and caught our first road races on the Isle of Man at the friendly races, the Southern 100. It was a magnificent 3 days of racing over on the island for all petrol heads. There were a multitude of races but it all came down to the Senior races for the solo riders and sidecars. In the solos Guy Martin (Suzuki) played a watching came for the first 6 laps sitting behind and watching Dean Harrison (Kawasaki), before taking the lead. Harrison had dominated the meeting to this point but it was Martin who took the main race by just over half a second. Dan Kneen (Suzuki) completed the podium over half a minute back after a comeback ride. Read More »

Tour de France Day 1 (13)You will see many superlatives about the greatest bike race in the World and its Grand Depart from Leeds and our gallery focuses on our visit to the first 3 stages of the event as it visited the UK. We can say it was unprecedented and absolutely amazing to expereince on the roads of Yorkshire with the million plus crowds each day. The Monday Cambridge to London was good too but it will be remembered for what happened up in Yorkshire. For the record as the Tour left the UK Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) led the race by just 2 seconds as the teams headed back over to France. Read More »
