Jaffa Stages

Slightly different weather conditions greeted us at Pembrey this year. It was wet but this year it had frozen and the first stage was a lottery on grip but after that the stages were consistent as Paul & Nia Fowden (Impreza) took victory by 14 seconds. It had been a hard fought rally with no outright pace setter like in previous years and this was borne out by the battle for 2nd place as Emyr Morgan & Paul Jones (Impreza) edged out Geoff Kitney & Ken Gibbard (Evo VI) on a tie break back to the 1st stage times.

Rockingham Stages

We may have missed a few but it doesn’t feel like the Rockingham Stages were only running for the 10th time. After a few years of low entry figures it was good to see the trend heading upwards again and even if we only saw the 1st day of action we still saw plenty to keep us happy. In terms of results Paul King & Fiona Scarrett (Escort MkII) backed up their 2013 success with another, taking the rally by 49 seconds and no deer incidents this year. Steve & Michael O’Leary (Darrian T90) were a fine second after battling all event long with Andy Corner & Ade Camp in their sideways and often tripoding Peugeot 205.

Motorcycle Live

A big break from the norm for us as we took in Motorcycle Live at the NEC. Our first time for this show and the first time in a long time at the NEC. It proved to be very entertaining and with a smattering of two wheel stars there too, access was easy and something that other shows could learn from. All in all a good first experience and expect even more two wheel photography from us in 2014!
