Jordan Road Surfacing BTRDA Rally Series leader Paul Bird is aiming to make it three wins this season – and a hat-trick of victories on the Nicky Grist Stages (Saturday 14 July) – when he contests this year’s event in his Dom Buckley Motorsport/IRS-prepared Ford Focus WRC08.

The Cumbrian driver has won the Nicky Grist Stages twice before, in 2014 and 2015 with Aled Davies co-driving, and in the same Frank Bird Poultry, Be Wiser Insurance, Hager, Fuchs Titan Race and Loco Energy Drink backed car that he’ll drive again next month. Read More »

Just a week after finishing on the podium at SOL Rally Barbados, Penrith rally driver Paul Bird swapped the dry Caribbean asphalt for the daunting gravel roads of Kielder Forest only to emerge victorious on the ATL Carlisle Stages Rally.

The event, based in his native Cumbria, formed round five of the Jordan Road Surfacing BTRDA Rally Series and along with Hexham co-driver Jack Morton in the Dom Buckley Motorsport/IRS-prepared Ford Focus WRC08, with backing from Frank Bird Poultry, Be Wiser Insurance, Hager, Fuchs Titan Race and Loco Energy Drink, the pair were back in action in more familiar surroundings. Cumbrian rally driver Paul Bird made a welcome return to SOL Rally Barbados at the weekend and came away with a superb podium placing by claiming a battling third position.

Former UK National Rally Champion Paul Bird confirmed today that he will enter Sol Rally Barbados 2018, hot on the heels of scoring maximum points in last Saturday’s (February 17) Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally in the forests of North Wales to take an early lead in the BTRDA Rally Championship. Penrith rally driver Paul Bird got his 2018 season off to a great start by claiming maximum points in the Jordan Road Surfacing BTRDA Rally Series following the Llandudno-based Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally today.

Penrith rally driver Paul Bird’s hopes of adding to his two Grizedale Stages victories ended in Paul Birdretirement on the third stage today after a promising start in his native Lake District.
